What to prepare before we build your site

The build is free and we do it. The only thing that slows a project down is waiting on your material. Here is what to get ready.

First: none of this is required all at once

If all you have is a company name and a phone number, we still start. The list below exists so we don't spend two weeks going back and forth over email. The more you send in one go, the sooner you see a finished site.

1. What you sell and to whom

One sentence. Not a marketing sentence — a real one.

Good: "Air-conditioning repair in Sofia and the surrounding area, mostly for businesses." Bad: "Innovative solutions for your comfort."

The home page comes out of that sentence. If we can't write it for you, the site will sound like everyone else's.

2. A list of pages

Not descriptions — just names. For example: Home, Services, About, Pricing, Contact.

If you're not sure, tell us what you do and we'll propose the structure. Basic includes up to 5 pages, Business up to 10, Enterprise has no limit. A blog, a gallery or a booking form each count as separate pages.

3. The copy

This is where most projects stall. Three options, all of them fine:

  • You have the text — send it as-is. Word, Google Docs, email — doesn't matter.
  • You have an old site — give us the link and we'll pull the text from it. You tell us what stays and what goes.
  • You have nothing — we write the first version over the phone. You give us 20 minutes, you talk, we shape it, you read and correct.

Don't wait for the copy to be perfect. Editing published text is easier than staring at an empty file.

4. Photos and logo

  • Logo — vector is best (.svg, .ai, .eps, .pdf). If all you have is a .png or .jpg, send the largest file you can find. The logo from your Facebook profile picture is too small.
  • Photos — the originals from your phone or camera, not the ones downloaded back off Facebook. We resize and optimise them, but we can't add quality that isn't there.
  • No photos? We work without them. Some sites look better with no photos than with weak ones.

5. Contact details, exactly as you want them shown

Address, phone, email, opening hours, links to Facebook and Instagram. If you're a registered company — the registered name and company number, because those have to appear on the site.

Check them before you send them. A wrong phone number on a live site costs more than everything else on this list.

6. Domain

Three situations:

  • You have a domain, held elsewhere — we need the name and access to the registrar's panel (or you make the change and we tell you exactly what to type). See How to point your domain.
  • You have a domain and want to transfer it to us — say so; we'll handle it.
  • You don't have one.com and .bg registration is included with your plan for the first year. Read How to choose a domain name before you decide.

If you have an existing site

On top of the above we need access to it so we can lift the content: an admin login, or FTP/panel access at the old host, or a ready backup file. We delete those credentials the moment we're done.

How long it takes

From the moment we have your material to the first version you can review: typically a few working days for a small brochure site, longer for a bigger one. We give you the real date on the phone, once we've seen what's involved.

Getting everything on this list together at once is the single biggest thing you can do for the timeline.
