1. Request the migration (5 min)
Open a ticket in the client area under "Migration", or email contact@hostika-bg.com with subject "Migration". Tell us the domain and which host you're leaving — Bluehost, SiteGround, A2, local provider — doesn't matter.
2. Share access (5 min)
We need one of: (a) a wp-admin user with the Administrator role, (b) cPanel / DirectAdmin / FTP login at the old host, or (c) a ready backup file (All-in-One WP Migration, Duplicator, or a manual SQL + wp-content tar). Credentials are deleted from our systems the moment we wrap up.
3. Test the copy (10–30 min, on us)
We bring the site up on our infrastructure under a technical URL (e.g. hostika-bg.com/sites/yourdomain). We walk the whole front-end, forms, plugins, and admin panel. If anything differs from the original we fix it before the cut-over, not after.
4. Switch DNS (5 min, on you)
Once it's tested, change A records (or nameservers) at your registrar. We send you the IPs and instructions. DNS takes a few minutes to 24 hours to propagate — during that window both the old and new site respond, so no visitor ever sees a broken page.
5. Cancel the old host (when you're ready)
We recommend waiting 7–14 days before closing the old account — just in case. After that you can cancel it and stop paying that monthly bill.
